Infected Computers & New CDs!

Have spent the past 3 days on the phone with Microsoft security techs, working to get Mama's computer fixed.  I think it's finally fixed...with just 1 or 2 little things I need to adjust.  Thankful to have this big job done.

Now I can get back to working on my new CD, "Walking with Jesus".  We're past the March 30 deadline I'd hoped to meet, but it's looking very promising for the 1st week of May.

Appreciate prayers that all my technology will work the way it's supposed to, & finishing up this album will be easy.

Hope your Palm Sunday was blessed!

I had a wonderful day at our church in Lubbock...good services, good preaching by my brother-in-law, Roger McCasland.  It was very nice to have Great-Grandpa Mac & Dale McCasland visiting today.  I trust all of you had wonderful, worshipful Sunday today!

Footsteps in the Shadows w/lyrics

For my friend, Ann Baldwin

I recorded this especially for my friend, Ann Baldwin, who recently lost her husband, Rev. Frank Baldwin.  She used to sing this song, & I enjoyed being able to accompany her on occasion.

For the rest of you, my friends & family, who listen to this song, please know I pray that you'll be comforted, uplifted & reminded that God wants to love us more than we've ever wanted to be loved!

I didn't take time to "fine-tune" this recording but send it out straight from my heart.

Home at Last!

Well, I'm finally home...been gone since Jan. 6!  I helped my niece, Amanda Shields (my brother, Doug's youngest), get through Algebra I in January.  Then, Amanda & I hit the road for Missouri.

I played a concert on Jan. 29 at the Wichita, KS Bible Holiness Church (pastor, Curtis Gordon).  It was a privilege to meet new friends & to play to such an interactive audience.  I was truly blessed to play & speak, then to fellowship afterwards with some really delicious food & great conversation.  As is so common with the children of God, I discovered several connections with some of the people there...friends of friends, etc.  Several Gideon "buddies" of David Moore attended, & it was delightful to get acquainted with these dear ones.

Thank you, Bro. & Sis. Gordon & Wichita Bible Holiness Church, for having me come to your church!  You were a delight to be with, & I look forward to being with you again sometime!

Going on to Dexter, MO, where my niece, Lynnette (& Ray) Perry [Doug's oldest], has been living, we were able to stop off in Altamont, KS to see dear childhood friends of my family I hadn't seen since the early 80's--Bob & Peggy Cunningham.  What a joy it was to visit with them & try to get caught up on each others' families.  I got to see their lovely home and their church with the beautiful sanctuary.  Thank you, Bob & Peggy, for lunch at the local cafe in Altamont.  It was Peggy's 70th birthday, so I told her maybe I was her birthday present!  It was hard to tear away so we could get to Dexter.  What a treat!

I so enjoyed playing nanny to baby Samuel (2 months) & chief cook & bottle washer (literally!!) at Ray & Lynnette's.  That left Lynnette & Amanda free to pack.  After almost 3 years as pastors at the Dexter, MO BMC, Ray & Lynnette are feeling led to other pursuits, so Amanda & I were happy to get to help get them ready to move.  I'll be posting photos of Samuel, my little buddy, very soon.  He is such a sweetie.  Even in the middle of the night, when he was ready for his bottle & I would be changing his diaper, he'd grin at me & coo & goo in the candlelight I left on during the night.  He was just as happy as could be.  It's truly great to have incredible nieces & nephews, & it's extra great to start having more & more great-nieces & nephews!

After I got back to Woodward last week before coming on home yesterday, we had another baby added to our Shields clan...B2, Ashley & B3 added a sweet little girl to their family on Feb. 9!  I'll have to double-check the spelling of her name & post it for ya'll.  Plus some photos.  She's a cutie!

So now...I'm home at last, & today's my daddy's 72nd birthday!  Tomorrow's my brother, Bryan's, 51st birthday.  He's been doing some work in Woodward, OK, so he drove down with me yesterday evening, & we're celebrating both the guys' birthdays together today...just like when we were growing up!

Be on the lookout for new CDs in the next few weeks.  I have one album just about ready to publish & will be doing final editing on it next week plus starting recording of "Sunday Evening Praise" as well.  These CDs should be available in 6-10 weeks.  I'll be sure to let you know as soon as you can start ordering CDs.

I hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's Day yesterday.  If you have absolutely NO one who truly loves you on this earth, you can be assured God loves you completely & His love never, ever fails!

God WANTS to Hear YOU Sing! For Doug & Teen

This song, "God Wants to Hear You Sing", by Rodney Griffin (of Greater Vision), is a tangible sign of my love & care about my siblings & their spouses (Christine & Roger McCasland, Doug & Ramona Shields) as well as their brother-in-law & wife, their children & their parents-in-law. Cecil (& Ellen) McCasland, their father-in-law, has been told by his drs that he's living his last days.

The words to this song are an incredible message to "sing" even in the Valley of the Shadow of Death. May each of you who bear a heavy load today take courage & let God "hear you sing"! [
