PLEASE PRAY FOR MY DADDY!!!
-- Yesterday, about 2:45 AM, he went into A-fib again for the 4th episode in less than 3 1/2 weeks. His heart doctor, Dr. Sharif in Lubbock, asked Daddy to go to the Heart Hospital ER yesterday early evening. He was admitted, & he & I stayed at the hospital overnight.
-- Before he was discharged today, just before noon, Dr. Sharif & other heart doctors & NPs came in to see Daddy. We went straight from the Heart Hospital to the cardiac electrophysiologist's (my acronym for this doctor specialist is E-P) office nearby at Covenant Medical Center. It was decided that Daddy's condition called for quick expediting. Dr. Cervera, the E-P, said he would do a 5-6-hr heart ablation on Daddy early Mon morning. So we left that doctor's office & headed home.
-- On the way home, Dr. Sharif himself called Daddy & said that he & Dr. Cervera decided they needed to completely rule out any possibility that something else besides frequent A-fib episodes might be wrong.
-- So...Daddy has a 3-4-hr angiogram in the morning (Thurs) @ 7 AM. He might get to come home tomorrow, but we won't know 'til after the procedure.
-- AND...as far as we currently know (unless the angiogram discovers other issues), Daddy will still be having a 5-6-hr heart ablation very early Mon morning. (They heat the heart & make lesions... supposed to decrease the incidence of A-fib.)
Really appreciate all y'all's prayers! It's interesting that our Lubbock church has prayed every service for the past couple weeks or so for Greg Norwood & his heart problems. We truly believe God answers prayer, but we trust Him to give us what His wisdom knows is best for us!
