For my friend, Ann Baldwin
I recorded this especially for my friend, Ann Baldwin, who recently lost her husband, Rev. Frank Baldwin. She used to sing this song, & I enjoyed being able to accompany her on occasion.
For the rest of you, my friends & family, who listen to this song, please know I pray that you'll be comforted, uplifted & reminded that God wants to love us more than we've ever wanted to be loved!
I didn't take time to "fine-tune" this recording but send it out straight from my heart.

Home at Last!
Well, I'm finally home...been gone since Jan. 6! I helped my niece, Amanda Shields (my brother, Doug's youngest), get through Algebra I in January. Then, Amanda & I hit the road for Missouri.
I played a concert on Jan. 29 at the Wichita, KS Bible Holiness Church (pastor, Curtis Gordon). It was a privilege to meet new friends & to play to such an interactive audience. I was truly blessed to play & speak, then to fellowship afterwards with some really delicious food & great conversation. As is so common with the children of God, I discovered several connections with some of the people there...friends of friends, etc. Several Gideon "buddies" of David Moore attended, & it was delightful to get acquainted with these dear ones.
Thank you, Bro. & Sis. Gordon & Wichita Bible Holiness Church, for having me come to your church! You were a delight to be with, & I look forward to being with you again sometime!
Going on to Dexter, MO, where my niece, Lynnette (& Ray) Perry [Doug's oldest], has been living, we were able to stop off in Altamont, KS to see dear childhood friends of my family I hadn't seen since the early 80's--Bob & Peggy Cunningham. What a joy it was to visit with them & try to get caught up on each others' families. I got to see their lovely home and their church with the beautiful sanctuary. Thank you, Bob & Peggy, for lunch at the local cafe in Altamont. It was Peggy's 70th birthday, so I told her maybe I was her birthday present! It was hard to tear away so we could get to Dexter. What a treat!
I so enjoyed playing nanny to baby Samuel (2 months) & chief cook & bottle washer (literally!!) at Ray & Lynnette's. That left Lynnette & Amanda free to pack. After almost 3 years as pastors at the Dexter, MO BMC, Ray & Lynnette are feeling led to other pursuits, so Amanda & I were happy to get to help get them ready to move. I'll be posting photos of Samuel, my little buddy, very soon. He is such a sweetie. Even in the middle of the night, when he was ready for his bottle & I would be changing his diaper, he'd grin at me & coo & goo in the candlelight I left on during the night. He was just as happy as could be. It's truly great to have incredible nieces & nephews, & it's extra great to start having more & more great-nieces & nephews!
After I got back to Woodward last week before coming on home yesterday, we had another baby added to our Shields clan...B2, Ashley & B3 added a sweet little girl to their family on Feb. 9! I'll have to double-check the spelling of her name & post it for ya'll. Plus some photos. She's a cutie!
So now...I'm home at last, & today's my daddy's 72nd birthday! Tomorrow's my brother, Bryan's, 51st birthday. He's been doing some work in Woodward, OK, so he drove down with me yesterday evening, & we're celebrating both the guys' birthdays together today...just like when we were growing up!
Be on the lookout for new CDs in the next few weeks. I have one album just about ready to publish & will be doing final editing on it next week plus starting recording of "Sunday Evening Praise" as well. These CDs should be available in 6-10 weeks. I'll be sure to let you know as soon as you can start ordering CDs.
I hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's Day yesterday. If you have absolutely NO one who truly loves you on this earth, you can be assured God loves you completely & His love never, ever fails!
