Home for Thanksgiving!!

It's SO wonderful to be home again.  A good trip this afternoon.  Made pretty good time & arrive here late this evening.  I love traveling...meeting new people...reconnecting with long-time friends & acquaintances...staying with family & helping out...  But I truly LOVE coming home again!

I pray that each of you is blessed tomorrow & have a wonderful Thanksgiving with people you care about & who care about you!  May you sense the touch of Jesus enriching your life throughout the entire day.  We have so many things to be thankful for when we take time to start counting, don't we?

Headin' to Woodward, OK today...

We've been enjoying revival this week with Paul Eversole. Today, I'm heading up to Woodward, OK, to help with music this weekend. They've been in revival this week with Andy Buege.

Woodward always has a big push for visitors on the first Sun. of each month with a potluck dinner following the morning service. It's always exciting to see who all the Lord helps make it out to that service. I a...
lways love being in Woodward for the First Sunday.

This will be my first time back to Woodward since my brother, Doug Shields, his wife & youngest, Ramona & Amanda, went back to serve in PNG. I'm gonna miss them! Doug & Ramona's eldest, Lynnette, & her husband, Ray Perry, pastor there at this time. I'm gonna enjoy hanging out with them & their little one, Samuel, who's growing so fast. Charla & Dougie are also there, so it'll be a kind-of mini-family reunion. I really enjoy hanging out with my nieces & nephews!

My piano will go in the shop while I'm gone. They told me their turn-around time in repair is 6 wks. I'll be excited to be able to start recording!

Good news...sad news...Oct. 29

Daddy & I got the new contact strip installed in my Yamaha Clavinova. Got everything put back together. But...the "dead" notes are still dead, & a few notes are making 2 tones instead of 1 when I play the key. So...back to the drawing board...I think Daddy & I are going to take it all apart again this week (since we know how now) & see if we can do a couple of things a ...
little more carefully that might (I wish they would!) make everything play correctly, even the "dead" notes.

It looks like I might not get to start recording "Sunday Evening Praise" until late Dec., maybe not until late Feb. when I get back from Tamika's baby girl, Emily, being born. I'm really looking forward to getting this project recorded as well as my 1st (non-Christmas) love song project, "With Love... [the current working title] plus "Campmeeting Days", the cd project that I'll be recording all those good, old songs from the "Glorious Freedom" paperback songbooks we used for campmeeting when I was growing up.
