Update on SAMUEL PERRY (my 5-mo-old nephew):
Thanks to all of you who are asking about Samuel & praying for him. We found out today that the bacteria he has is VRE. That is a group of bacterial species of the genus Enterococcus that is resistant to the antibiotic vancomycin. He also has a couple lumps under his chin, one oozing, that the doctors don't yet know what they are. They might be doin...g a CT scan tonight. Other than that, at this point, the drs are planning to wait for any further action on the lumps until after the weekend. Surgery might be indicated, according to at least one dr.
